UW Global Anesthesia Initiative
This organization is a collaboration within the UW Department of Anesthesiology to promote global health and anesthetic/peri-operative care for patients in various low-resource settings (with an an international focus) through clinical care, education (bidirectional teaching of anesthesia providers/trainees both here and in other countries/settings), research and advocacy
House Staff Quality and Safety Committee
The University of Washington Housestaff Quality & Safety Committee (HQSC) is a trainee-led organization chartered under UW Graduate Medical Education and the UW Patient Safety & Quality Coordinating Committee focused on developing future clinician leaders dedicated to improving patient care through housestaff education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and engagement in quality and safety. Network of Underrepresented Residents and Fellows
The organization is a diverse body of residents, fellows, faculty and staff, representing all specialties. NURF is co-sponsored by the UW Graduate Medical Education Office and the Office of Healthcare Equity. Our aim is to promote diversity in medicine through community involvement, education, advocacy, policy, mentorship, professional networking, and the recruitment and retention of those who are underrepresented in medicine (URiM).
